Antonina Shevchenko, an Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru, and mixed martial arts artist who is a part of the UFC for the Flyweight Division. She is a Kyrgyzstani. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight title holder as well as UFC friend of hers is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko, an experienced Muay Thai kickboxer, began her fight sports career at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won this tournament in a unified victory against Suzane Miller. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina used her superior strike abilities in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. Following this victory Antonina was offered the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi by the unanimous verdict. But, she was unable to win her next fight due to a split verdict. Antonina recovered from the loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner during her subsequent three bouts she lost to Ariane Lipski, and then losing to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee.
