Claire Elise Boucher (/bu:'SeI/ boo-SHAY born on March 17 the 17th of March, 1988) is professionally known as Grimes, is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Her early work was described as "lo-fi R&B to futuristic dance-pop",[4] with influences from electronic, hip-hop, and rock. The songs she sings often speak to gender issues and science fiction. Five studio albums were issued by her. Grimes came from Vancouver before moving to Montreal. The singer began her independent career in the latter part of the 2000s. In 2010, she released two albums through Arbutus Records, Geidi Primes (and Halfaxa), respectively. After that, she became a member of 4AD and gained notoriety after the release of her third studio album, Visions that was released in 2012. Visions includes the singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" which earned her an award called the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. Art Angels, her fourth studio album, came out in 2015. Many publications called it the most successful album. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth studio album. Grimes, who is also an actress and judge on Alter Ego's music competitions, was vocalist for Cyberpunk 2077 which was released in the year 2020. Georges Georges Georges
